Getting started with SalesPoint360
On this page
SalesPoint360 is an all-in-one point-of-sale and back-office platform: a full-screen register for checkout, an admin back office for your catalog, staff, and reports, an online storefront, and native apps for phones, tablets, and desktop. This guide takes you from a fresh account to your first completed sale.
Set up your business
Sign in to the admin back office and open Settings → General → Business Info. Add your business name, logo, address, phone, timezone, and default currency. These details appear on receipts, invoices, and your storefront, so it is worth getting them right first.
Currencies and tax
Under Settings → General → Currencies & Tax, confirm your base currency and add any tax rates you charge — GCT, VAT, or sales tax. Mark one rate as the default so new products inherit it. You can add more currencies later if you sell across borders; exchange rates update automatically.
Create a store and register
Every sale belongs to a store, and every checkout happens on a register. Open Settings → Stores, create your first store, then add at least one register to it. If you run a restaurant, enable Restaurant mode on the store; if you take web orders, enable Online ordering.
Build your catalog
Go to Catalog → Products to add what you sell. For each product set a name, price, and — if you track stock — turn on Track inventory so the count drops with every sale. Add a barcode or SKU to scan items at the register.
Variants
For products that come in sizes, colours, or flavours, add variants. Each variant can carry its own price adjustment, barcode, and stock level, and appears as a quick picker when the item is added to the cart. Use a variant template (Clothing Sizes, Colors, and so on) to generate every combination at once.
Importing in bulk
Already have a product list? Use Import on the Products page to upload a spreadsheet and create hundreds of products in one step, complete with prices, barcodes, and categories. Organise everything into Categories so cashiers can filter the register grid quickly.
Turn on payments
Open Settings → General → Payment and enable the gateways you use — Stripe, Square, PayPal, WiPay, or First Atlantic Commerce — each with your own keys. Cash works out of the box with no setup. For card-present checkout you can pair a payment terminal under Settings → Hardware.
Take your first sale
Open the POS register, sign in with your email or PIN, choose your store and register, and open a shift with your starting cash float. Then:
- Scan a barcode, tap a product tile, or search by name to add items to the cart.
- Adjust quantities and apply any discounts or a coupon.
- Optionally attach a customer so the sale lands on their history and earns loyalty points.
- Press Pay, choose the tender (or split across several), and complete the sale.
Print or email the receipt, and you are live. Your sale, inventory, loyalty, and reports all update instantly.
Where to go next
- Team — add users with their own PINs and roles so each person has exactly the access they need.
- Analytics — watch sales, best-sellers, and shift reconciliation from day one.
- Offline & mobile — install the apps and try SP360 Lite so you can keep selling with no internet.
Note: your business can rename menu items (Settings → POS Configuration → Menu Labels), so the names in your menu may differ from those shown here.
