Pharmacy
On this page
The pharmacy module adds dispensing to the register: prescriptions, patient records, prescriber verification, controlled-substance logging, and insurance billing.
Patients and prescribers
Patients holds the clinical record — allergies, current medication, and insurance. Prescribers holds the practitioners you accept scripts from, with their identifiers checked for uniqueness so two records cannot drift apart.
The drug catalogue
Drug Catalog carries the products you dispense with strengths, forms, and pack sizes. Sig Codes maps the abbreviations on a script to plain English, so directions print in language a patient can follow; unrecognised abbreviations are flagged for you to add.
Dispensing
A script is entered against a patient and prescriber, checked, filled and labelled. Ready items sit in Will-Call until collection, and repeat scripts flow through the Refill Queue so nothing is missed.
Controlled substances
Controlled Substances keeps the separate register those items require, logging every movement with the dispensing staff member. Treat this as a compliance record rather than a convenience — it is what an inspection will ask for.
Beyond dispensing
Immunizations records vaccinations given, Compound Lab handles preparations made in-house, and Prior Authorization tracks approvals still outstanding with an insurer.
Reporting
Pharmacy Reports covers dispensing volume, controlled-substance movement, and insurance reconciliation.
A note on responsibility
SalesPoint360 records what you do; it does not replace clinical judgement or your regulator's requirements. Configure Pharmacy Settings to match the rules of the market you operate in.
