Time clock, scheduling & payroll
On this page
SalesPoint360 tracks hours worked, plans who is on, and turns the result into figures you can hand to payroll.
Time clock
Staff clock in and out from the register or the portal under Team → Time Clock, including breaks. Entries are stamped with the user and time, and managers can correct a mistake — a correction is recorded rather than overwriting the original quietly.
Scheduling
Build rotas under Team → Schedules: assign shifts by person, day, and store, and publish so everyone can see them. Comparing the schedule with the actual clock data is how you find the gap between planned and paid hours.
Time off and swaps
Staff request time off and propose shift swaps in the app; managers approve or decline. Approved time off is respected when you build the next rota, so nobody is scheduled while they are away.
Payroll
Team → Payroll totals hours by employee for a period, applies overtime rules, and adds tips and commission where they apply. Export as CSV or JSON for your payroll provider.
For Jamaica, statutory NIS, NHT, education tax, and PAYE deductions are calculated under payroll deductions.
Staffing to demand
Smart scheduling forecasts demand by hour from your sales history and recommends cover, so quiet Tuesday mornings stop being overstaffed and Saturday lunchtimes stop being a scramble.
Day-to-day operations
Alongside hours, the operations tools keep a shift honest: opening and closing checklists with photo evidence, shift notes for handover, incident reports, and internal announcements that can be pinned to the register.
Permissions
Most businesses let staff view their own hours and requests while managers see the team, approve time off, and export payroll. All of that is set per role.
Note: your business can rename menu items (Settings → POS Configuration → Menu Labels), so the names in your menu may differ from those shown here.
