Tips, commissions & staff scorecards
On this page
Three ways staff earnings and performance are tracked, all fed from the same sales data.
Tips
With tipping enabled, the register prompts after payment with preset percentages, a custom amount, or none. Tips are recorded against the sale and the staff member who rang it, and appear in the shift and in reports.
Tip pools
Where tips are shared, create a pool for a period, add the staff who share in it, and distribute — evenly, by hours worked, or by your own weighting. Each distribution is recorded, so what everyone received can always be shown.
Commissions
Define commission rules under Team → Commissions — a flat percentage, a per-product rate, or tiered thresholds — and assign a rule to each user. Commission is calculated when a sale completes and attributed to the seller, so the figures build continuously rather than being reconstructed at month end.
Refunds reverse the commission on the original sale, which keeps a refund-heavy month honest.
Scorecards
Team → Scorecards scores staff on metrics you choose and weight yourself — sales, average basket, items per sale, discount rate, attachment of customers, and so on — into one composite figure, with a team leaderboard.
Weight what you actually want to encourage. A scorecard that only rewards revenue will reliably produce heavy discounting.
Watching for problems
Anomaly detection produces per-cashier risk scores from patterns such as unusual voids, refunds without a receipt, or discounting well outside the norm. Treat a flag as a prompt to look, not a verdict.
Being transparent
Staff perform better against numbers they can see. Employee analytics gives each person their own figures — hours, sales, tips, commission — and the leaderboard shows where they stand.
Note: your business can rename menu items (Settings → POS Configuration → Menu Labels), so the names in your menu may differ from those shown here.
