Users, roles & permissions
Give every staff member their own login and control precisely what they can access with roles. This keeps sensitive actions — voids, refunds, price edits, reports — in the right hands.
Add a user
Under Team → Users, add a person with an email, a PIN for fast register sign-in, and a role. Assign them to a specific store if they only work at one location. Each user's sales and actions are attributed to them, which powers commissions, tips, and staff reports.
The default roles
SalesPoint360 ships with seven sensible roles you can use as-is:
- Admin — full access to everything.
- Manager — most areas, minus some destructive actions.
- Supervisor — cashiering plus refunds, shift closing, and basic reporting.
- Cashier — ring sales and serve customers, without back-office access.
- Inventory Clerk — products and stock, no sales.
- Accountant — read-only financials and reports.
- Viewer — read-only across the board.
Custom roles and fine-tuning
Need something in between? Create a custom role under Team → Roles & Permissions and toggle permissions across the platform's modules — allow refunds but not voids, reports but not settings, and so on. Because permissions are granular, you can match each role to exactly what that job needs.
Safeguards
SalesPoint360 protects you from locking yourself out: you cannot delete or demote the last admin. For extra security, enable two-factor authentication for admins, and require staff to confirm a PIN or password for the most sensitive actions.
Note: your business can rename menu items (Settings → POS Configuration → Menu Labels), so the names in your menu may differ from those shown here.
