Barcodes & label printing
On this page
Barcodes make the register fast and accurate. SalesPoint360 can use the barcodes already on your products, or generate its own for items that have none.
Barcodes on products
Enter a barcode on the product (or on each variant, so a medium and a large scan differently). Scanning at the register matches the product or variant exactly. Keep barcodes unique — a duplicate makes a scan ambiguous, and the variant audit tool will flag any it finds.
No barcode? Have one generated. Retail formats such as EAN-13 and UPC-A are supported alongside Code 128 for internal use.
Label templates
Under Catalog → Barcode Labels, build a template that matches the labels you actually buy. Presets for common Avery sheet layouts set the page size, grid, and margins for you; pick the preset and the geometry follows.
The label designer
For full control, use the drag-and-drop designer: place the product name, price, SKU, variant, barcode, and your own text exactly where you want them, and resize each element. Templates are saved and reusable.
If you switch a saved template to a different sheet preset, re-apply the preset so the old margins do not carry over.
Printing labels
Select products — a category, a filter, a whole delivery — choose a template, set how many labels each product needs, and print. Sheet labels print through the browser; portable Bluetooth label printers print from the mobile apps as raster images.
Labelling a delivery
The quickest workflow is to receive the purchase order first, then print labels for exactly what was received: quantities are already correct, so nobody counts twice.
Printing one label at the register
Long-press a product on the register grid to print a single label — handy for a shelf edge that has gone missing or a price that has just changed.
Note: your business can rename menu items (Settings → POS Configuration → Menu Labels), so the names in your menu may differ from those shown here.
