Social commerce

Products published from the catalogue to social channels

Social commerce syncs your products to social selling channels, so the catalogue people browse there is the one you actually maintain.

Connecting a channel

Under Marketing → Social Commerce, connect the channel and authorise the connection with that platform. Each channel keeps its own credentials and its own sync status.

Choosing what to publish

Select which products go out. Rarely is it everything: items that need a conversation, are hard to ship, or are stocked in single figures usually do better kept off. Each product's sync state is visible per channel, so you can tell what is live and what failed.

Keeping it in step

Price and availability changes push out on sync, which is what keeps you from selling something socially that sold out in store an hour earlier. Sync regularly rather than once at setup.

What tends to go wrong

  • Rejected products — most platforms have category rules and image requirements; the sync status shows the reason.
  • Expired authorisation — connections lapse and need re-authorising, and a lapsed one fails quietly.
  • Missing images or descriptions — the most common rejection, and the easiest to fix.

Making the listings work

Social channels are visual. Good square images, a description that reads as a sentence rather than a spec, and accurate stock counts do most of the work. Products with one poor photo simply do not sell there.

Where the orders land

Depending on the channel, customers either buy on the platform or come through to your storefront. Either way the sale lands in SalesPoint360 with your other orders, drawing down the same stock.

Note: your business can rename menu items (Settings → POS Configuration → Menu Labels), so the names in your menu may differ from those shown here.
